Generally a safe place to shop Wanchai does not have the high pressure touts that you will find in more touristy areas such as Nathan Road.  However the  wise shopper should beware as always any deals that seem too good to be true probably is.  This applies mostly to big ticket items such as antiques and computers.

Types of Shopping

As Wanchai is both a commercial and residential distrct, you can get basically anything from household items, building materials to computers and gadgets.

• Computer shopping:
  

  There are several computer arcades in Wanchai so check out which one is nearer to you.

• Street Market shopping: Tai Yuen Street is around for almost 70 years. Watch the locals do their daily food shopping.  This street is also known as "toy street" where children's toy to big boys' model kits can be found here.
