Home > Things to Do > Old Wan Chai Post Office Old Wanchai Post Office![]() Old Wan Chai Post Office is located on Queen's Road East at the junction with Wanchai Gap road. The Post Office was built between 1912 to 1913 , was officially opened on March 1, 1915 as the Wan Chai Post Office. It is now Hong Kong's oldest surviving post office building and a great example of the architecture of the time. The building is now a declared monuments in Hong Kong and has been used by the Environmental Protection Department since 1993 as an Environmental Resource Centre displaying environmental information and pictures. You can go inside and see the old architecture and the beautiful old style red post office boxes. Admission is free. It is no longer a functioning post office, if you wish to send a postcard use the nearby Hong Kong post office at 2/F Wu Chung House, 197-213 Queen's Road East.       |
